Formed in 1995 in Sacramento, CA, alternative pop band Oleander broke through in 1999 with mainstream rock radio hits "Why I'm Here" and "I Walk Alone" from their gold-certified Universal album February Son. After a local debut (Shrinking the Blob) and lineup changes, the band released the experimental Unwind in 2001, followed by Joyride on Sanctuary Records in 2003 before a 2004 hiatus. They later reunited and signed to SBG Records.
